थाइलैंड की राजधानी बैंकाक में पूंजी निवेश को लेकर आयोजित सम्मेलन में उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने जहां भारत को दुनिया के शीर्ष तीन निवेश स्थलों में से एक बताया, वहीं यह भी कहा कि उत्तराखंड में निवेश की बुनियादी सुविधाएं व सहूलियतें मौजूद हैं। खासकर खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में पूंजी निवेश के लिए उत्तराखंड से मुफीद स्थान कोई हो ही नहीं सकता।
मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने मंगलवार को बैंकाक (थाईलैंड) में उत्तराखण्ड में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में निवेश की संभावनाओं से संबंधित संगोष्ठी को संबोधित किया। संगोष्ठी में थाईलैंड एवं उत्तराखण्ड के खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच खाद्य प्रसंस्करण की संभावनाओं पर गहन चर्चा हुई।
मुख्यमंत्री रावत ने कहा कि भारत दुनिया की तेजी से बढ़ती प्रमुख अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में से एक है। विश्व के शीर्ष तीन निवेश स्थलों में शामिल है। भारत में ब्रांडेड भोजन की बढ़ती मांग वाले 1.32 बिलियन उपभोक्ता हैं। यहां विश्व स्तरीय बंदरगाहों की उपलब्धता के साथ ही खाद्य की आपूर्ति श्रंखला की बुनियादी सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध हैं।
मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने कहा कि भारत दूसरा सबसे बड़ा कृषि योग्य क्षेत्र है। इसमें 127 विविध कृषि जलवायु वाले क्षेत्र उपलब्ध हैं, जो हमें कई फसलों केला, आम, अमरूद, पपीता और भिण्डी में वैश्विक नेतृत्व प्रदान करता है। भारत का चावल, गेहूं, मछली, फलों एवं सब्जियों के उत्पादन में विश्व स्तर पर दूसरा स्थान है। भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा दुग्ध उत्पादक देश है।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि सबसे बड़ा खाद्य उत्पादक देश होने के बावजूद भारत में कुल उत्पादन का मात्र 10 प्रतिशत ही मूल्य संवर्धन/प्रसंस्करण में उपयोग किया जाता है। अन्य दक्षिण-पूर्वी एशियाई देशों थाईलैंड, मलेशिया, वियतनाम जैसे देशों में यह 70 से 80 प्रतिशत है। इस मामले में थाइलैंड भारत की मदद कर सकता है।
इस अवसर पर थाईलैण्ड में भारत के राजदूत भगवंत सिंह विश्नोई, मुख्य सचिव उत्पल कुमार सिंह, प्रमुख सचिव मनीषा पंवार, सचिव दिलीप जावलकर, इन्वेस्ट इंडिया की वायस प्रेसिडेंट प्रिया रावत, मुख्यमंत्री के औद्योगिक सलाहकार केएस पंवार सहित थाईलैंण्ड एवं उत्तराखण्ड के अधिकारी एवं निवेशक मौजूद रहे।

उद्योगों की स्थापना के लिए एकल खिड़की व्यवस्था के माध्यम से समयबद्व और कठिनाई मुक्त सेवाएं उपलब्ध हैं। सीएम ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड में औद्योगिक विद्युत दरें भारत के अन्य राज्यों की तुलना में सबसे कम हैं। राज्य में बहुत सारी संभावनाएं विद्यमान हैं जिसे थाईलैण्ड की कम्पनियों एवं उत्तराखण्ड के उत्पादकों के पारस्परिक सहयोग से आपस में जुड़ा जा सकता है।
प्रदेश की परिस्थितिकी को नुकसान पहुंचाए बगैर राज्य में विकसित औद्योगिक क्षेत्रों में अन्य छोटे उद्योगों के अलावा ब्रिटानिया इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड, नेस्ले इण्डिया लिमिटेड, पेप्सिको और केएलए इण्डिया पब्लिक लिमिटेड सहित प्रमुख खाद्य प्रसंस्करण उद्योगों में 385 मिलियन डॉलर से भी अधिक का निवेश किया गया है।
कार्यक्रम के पश्चात मुख्यमंत्री ने बैंकाक के औद्योगिक प्रतिष्ठानों नवा नकार्न इंडस्ट्रियल एस्टेट का भी भ्रमण किया। उत्तराखण्ड में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण क्षेत्र में निवेश की संभावनाओं से सम्बंधित संगोष्ठी में सचिव कृषि डी. सेंथिल पाण्डियन ने राज्य में खाद्य प्रसंस्करण की सम्भावनाओं पर प्रभावी प्रस्तुतीकरण भी दिया!
